Lenoir NC to Hot Springs NC
No cooking this morning just some quick doughnuts for breakfast before heading down US 64 towards Brownsville NC. About 30 miles down the road we intersected the TAT again and hopped back on.
The Smokey Mountains are beautiful and the twisty mountain roads were a blast to drive.

Our first stop was to hike up to Linville Falls. The falls were cool the way the water had eroded it’s way down through the stone mountain walls. So many picture spots along the way, we loved it.
Later we stopped in Hot Springs NC. It’s located directly on the Appalachian Trail and everything in town caters to the hikers passing through. About 5 miles south of Hot Springs we stopped for the night at Rocky Bluff National Forest campground. Going forward we decided we will try stopping around 3-4 each day so we don’t burn out. Rocky Bluff was a nice campground, it was rustic and friendly but it had no cell service!
